Doctoral Studies

We offer doctoral programmes in Nordic languages; natural language processing; Swedish as a second language; and humanities with a focus on educational science.

Research studies at the department comprise 240 ECTS, which is equivalent to four years of full-time study. You can choose to study within one of three main subject areas: Nordic languages, natural language processing and Swedish as a second language. Available positions for research studies are advertised via the university’s service for job vacancies; as there may be great competition for these places, it is important that you are well-prepared before you submit an application.
